Case Studies produced several good budget cases at a cost of $10, including Athlex Mag

,,,,, Nano Pop Mag,,,,, Nano Pop Kingstand and Capella Mag. Its Capella Mag Kickstand is one of the cheap transparent Magsafe cases I’ve seen, and the built-in shelf retracts into the case when not in use, so you can attach MagSafe accessories. This case can be used on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, but it is not suitable for the standard iPhone 16. $10.

Another good budget iPhone 16 case option is ESR transparent classic hybrid boxit costs less than $10. I like the ESR’s storage cabinet box ($21), which has a built-in retractable camera protection ring that turns into a stand. But the more basic classic hybrid costs less than half the price. I should point out that the case has an integrated touch-sensitive cover for the camera control buttons of the iPhone 16. The Caselog Capella Mag Kickstand has a cutout when the button is exposed. I tend to prefer touch-sensitive lids.

These under $10 cases are nothing fantasy or very unique, but they are slim and offer decent protection. Indeed, more quality brands like Otterbox and Speck may be better improved over time (these budget transparent cases now have UV protection against yellow, although I found it doesn’t always work). That said, it’s hard for some people to spend $40 to $50 on cases – I don’t blame them.
