We’re not really overwhelmed by new shows often flowbut this week is a lot of prestige TV. On Max, favorite fans perform hacking, our last one is back, handhus on Hulu’s story rewards, and the new season of Black Mirror is reaching Netflix. This is just a small bit of it, although none of the other titles on our list are available quite Like those dystopians.
If you are looking for serious star power, check out Viola Davis in the new Prime Video Movie G20 or Jon Hamm, or check out among your friends and neighbors in the new Apple TV Plus series. And, if you’re looking for explosive real-life documentaries, Netflix will also give up on bad influence: the dark side of the boy, which promises to be as stressful as the title suggests.

Black Mirror, Season 7 (April 10)
Black Mirror is Charlie Brooker’s satirical Twilight Zone-style anthology series, returning to Netflix this week with six new episodes – keep an eye on the sequel to Season 4, the USS Callister, which will star in Cristin Milioti. Other stars of the season include Rashida Jones, Awkwafina, Issa Rae and Will Poulter.
Adverse effects: The dark side of children (April 9)
The Undesirable Impact: The Dark Side of the Childhood World is a three-part investigation documentary involving one of YouTube’s most popular channels. Piper Rockelle and her friends called Squads on her channel, building an empire with more than 12 million subscribers, but Rockelle’s mother Tiffany Smith was allegedly a major manipulator who allegedly controlled and abused some of the Squad members who appeared in their daughter’s videos. In this series, filmmakers Jenna Rosher and Kief Davidson investigated what led to Piper’s 11 former friends suing Smith, eventually settled for nearly $2 million.

Our Last, Season 2 (April 13)
The final season of Max’s Doomsday Series Season 2 comes five years after the events of Season 1, with Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) traveling through the barren, zombie-attacked ruins of America. The seven-episode season will feature several new cast members, including Kaitlyn Dever, Abby and Isabela Merced as Dina, as well as appearances from Jeffrey Wright and Catherine O’Hara.
Hacker, Season 4 (April 10)
hacks are back on Max! In season 4 of the Emmy Award-winning comedy series, Jean Smart’s acerbic comedian Deborah Vance launched her late-night show with writer Ava Daniels (Hannah Einbinder), but the love-hate relationship between the two women is fully revealed when trying to make TV history. The 10-episode season released two episodes on April 10.

Egot-Winner Viola Davis bent his action muscles in a new Prime video release on April 12. Davis serves as President Danielle Sutton, and she became a primary target when the G20 summit is under attack. Not content with letting the Secret Service have all the fun, Sutton takes things into his own hands when trying to outdo the attacker. Anthony Anderson, Marsai Martin, Ramón Rodríguez, Douglas Hodge, Elizabeth Marvel and Sabrina Impacciatore co-star.

Doctor Who, Season 2 (April 12)
Season 2 of the latest iteration of Doctors starring Ncuti Gatwa will premiere on Disney Plus on Saturday, April 12. Eight episodes of seasons will focus on the Doctor’s attempt to bring Varina Chandra back to Earth as mysterious forces try to prevent this from happening. Guest stars this season include Alan Cumming, Rose Ayling-Ellis and Christopher Chung.
Apple TV Plus
Your friends and neighbors (April 11)
Jon Hamm is the star of your friends and neighbors in the new Apple TV Plus series, tells the story of a disbanded hedge fund manager who starts stealing from wealthy neighbors to keep his lifestyle alive. This is Hamm’s first starring role in a TV series since Mad Men. Although the series has not yet premiered, the second season is already green.
Hu Lu
The Story of the Handmaid (April 8)
This week marks the premiere of Hulu’s Handmaid’s sixth and final season. Season 6 is more than two years after the finale of Season 5, with three episodes coming this week, with new episodes coming every week. The core actors including Elisabeth Moss, Yvonne Strahovski, Samira Wiley, Ot Fagbenle and Bradley Whitford are all back to the show. Timothy Simons, known for Jonah’s work on Veep, will join the cast.

Wrestlemania IX: Becoming a Wonder (April 11)
WrestleMania IX: Being a Wonder is a new peacock original that offers a behind-the-scenes look at legendary and controversial 1993 rounds in Las Vegas, Hulk Hogan tampers with the world champion in Yokozozuna’s world champion just a moment after he won. This behind-the-scenes documentary features from the accounts of many people in the event that will later shape the future of WWE.
