After an endless night in New York City Fantastic FourMarvel rival players were invited to the coast of Krakoa at the start of season 2 on April 11. The first trailer of this new season gives us our first official observation of the new hero and Developer videos Give up the main news about the future of hero releases.

The trailer features former enemies and sometimes leaders of X-Men Emma Frost, inviting people from competitors’ various schedules to Krakoa’s mutant country where everyone dresses up for a fancy party, even the Wolverines, or even the white tuxedo. However, when Ultron showed up to preach the extinction, the incident was unceremoniously interrupted.
We also looked at some of the makeup products from Season 2, although it’s not clear which ones are from the store and which may be in the Battle Pass. In addition to the Wolverine we wore, we looked at Magik and Psylocke in traditional X-Men blue and yellow. Off-site guests are also in the entertainment, wearing hats, decorations from heroes such as Widow and Luna Snow.
Maybe Ultron just wonders why he wasn’t invited.
Changes in New Heroes and Marvel Competitors Season 2
Emma Frost joins the roster as the Pioneer. We don’t have details on her abilities yet, but hopefully that information will be introduced before next week’s season launch. Ultron will be updated in season 2.5, which should be in late May.
Some teams are changing in Season 2, including three new team features previewed in the latest developer Vision Video.
- Emma Frost allows Magneto and Psylocke to have fantasy about themselves.
- Dr. Strange built a team with Scarlet Witch, allowing her to use a small portal to increase her damage output through a replacement fire with a quick shot.
- Cap eventually worked with Bucky to get winter soldiers to fly to allies.
Emma Frost’s team adds some deception to the allies’ gameplay.
Some existing teams are making adjustments, while Psylocke, Winter Sersier and Strange Doctor will be removed from older teams and move to new ones, while Namor will move from being with Luna’s anchor to Hulk to empower him with Gamma Energy’s ultimate abilities. Two times the team was completely removed: Magneto can no longer team up with Scarlet Witch, and Thor is no longer an anchor hat and storm.
The developer vaguely mocked other changes in balance, including fans of Peni, Fantastic Min and Moon Knight, strange trading offensive pressure to increase survivability, while Loki and Adam Warlock gained greater practicality, while Roki and Adam Warlock gained their ability to regenerate domains and soul bonds.
The seasons ahead will be short, which means more new heroes
One of the most surprising moments in the developer video was the announcement that starting with Season 3, the season will be two months instead of about three. There have been many discussions about whether the competitor’s new hero rhythm (about eight according to the three-month season) is sustainable. Well, obviously, the competitor developers embraced this in person and raised that step up for a new hero every month, which means 12 new heroes per year.
This feels ridiculous compared to other hero shooters, with an average of three new heroes a year, and even a MOBA like League of Legends, which has an average of about four new champions per year over the past five years. Competitors benefit from having a stable Miracle character that can thus not stand out from the hero concept of inventing themselves, and developers seem less worried about the mechanical overlap of their heroes compared to Overwatch, which can be seen in many ultimate aspects of support. Still, for hero shooters, the new heroes of each month are unheard of.
Luna is one of the heroes who get a new skin for the Hellfire Party.
New Krakoa map and competitive changes
A new Krakoa-themed domination map is being added in season 2, while Yggsgard: Royal Palace (Reign) and Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya (Convergence) (Convergence) will rotate ranking modes from the map pool, although they are still available in fast and custom games.
The threshold for competitive draft picks and bans that currently occur only in the halls of diamond rankings will be lowered to Gold 3. Eternal players or players above all rankings can only queue up, not queue up, rather than line up with larger groups – this measure may prevent senior teams from avoiding stomping on the hall.
Speaking of levels, Season 2 will drop everyone into 9 divisions, equaling 3 rankings. This means that eternal players will fall on the diamonds, and any player with Platinum 3 or below will start climbing from Bronze 3 again. (Again…again.)
Competitors’ developers also announced that individual players will perform better when determining the progress of competition after a game, meaning that if your stats outperform your team, you will get more wins and less losses. This change can help boost Smurfs and other highly skilled players in the lower halls, allowing them to get into the proper team faster. However, this can also lead to statistical funding from players rather than playing in the most effective way to win the game. Overall, given that the competitors are not using any type of competition to place the game, this should be a net effect of the game.
Other announcements
Competitors are adding new skin heavy colors to certain hero skins and (finally) give players the option to give friends a gift outfit so they can be surprised by their birthdays that you will never forget.
The mission is changing as the weekly missions increase and the timing tokens for battle passes are reassigned. The developers have made it a “smoother expectation” of how to get the timing token, but the surface level description sounds like it’s making progress in combat passes throughout the season more difficult as more progress has been made under shorter time-limited tasks.
The visual updates from the developers also gave us a first look at the competitive distribution, showing how many competitors each level has as of Season 1.5.
Based on this chart, the 50th percentile appears to be high gold medals, with 48.3% of players in Platinum or higher ranks.
The Hell Carnival trailer says that season 2 will begin on April 11. While no specific start time is given, maintenance between seasons is expected to end sometime in the middle of the night in the United States.
