Samsung's New Galaxy Tab S10 FE and FE Plus Tablets Get a Couple of Key Upgrades

Every year, Samsung releases its “fan version” version Flagship Galaxy Tab S series tablets This isn’t too powerful and has lower display technology – but they cost much less. Upgraded processors and cameras

Both new tablets run on the upgraded Samsung Exynos 1580 chipset, rather than the more powerful Mediatek processor found in its standard ingredients (Exynos 138 chipset power supply Galaxy Tab S9 Fe tablet). While the Galaxy Tab S10 FE retains its predecessor’s 10.9-inch display, the larger Tab S10 Fe Plus ($650) comes with a 13.1-inch display that is larger than the 12.4-inch screen in its predecessor and standard Tab S10 Plus. Samsung has released the Galaxy Tab S10 only in the Plus and Ultra versions – the Ultra has a huge 14.6-inch display – so the Tab S10 Fe is technically the smallest S10.

Both new FE models use LCD instead of OLED and have a 90Hz refresh rate compared to the 120Hz refresh rate of the standard Tab S10 screen. Samsung says the Tab S10 FE is 4% lighter than its predecessor, and both tablets come with a newly upgraded 13-megapixel high-resolution rear camera, although the Tab S10 Fe Plus no longer has a second speeding camera.

Samsung

Samsung is touting the Galaxy Tab S10 Fe Plus and Galaxy Tab S10 FE as “the first model in the Fe series, equipped with cutting-edge AI capabilities.” So from a feature standpoint, you’ll get a lot of what the standard Galaxy Tab S10 models have to offer. But while the new FE tablet includes the S Pen stylus, it is a more basic version that lacks Bluetooth capabilities. The same goes for the S Pen included in the TAB S9 FE (and the new Galaxy S25 Ultra smartphone), which some people are not happy with).

Once you get the review sample, I’ll give you my hands-on impression of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and tell you how it compares to the standard Tab S10. As usual, Samsung tends to offer decent discounts if you trade on your device, so if you already have a Samsung tablet, look for some savings. Note that both tablets also have versions of Wi-Fi Plus 5G for added cost.
