Nintendo Switch 2 Event: Everything Announced for the New Console

Nintendo Switch 2’s console and Games were announced Wednesday, and Nintendo will announce a June 5 release date as launch champion, along with Mario Kart World. Specifications of Nintendo Switch 2 There are obvious technical obstacles seen on the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch 2 has a 7.9-inch 1080p resolution LCD display that supports 120Hz refresh rate – a match that we see on most Android phones now. When docking on Switch 2, compatible games can run at 4K resolution. The new terminal also includes a cooling fan.

The Switch 2 comes with 256GB of internal storage, while the new Switch 2 gaming card will have faster speeds to load games. The Switch 2 also adds a second USB-C port to the top of the system, which Nintendo says can help connect its new camera accessories, or charge the console while playing in desktop mode. Nintendo also revealed a new Switch 2 Pro controller that includes a new C-Button (for chatting with friends and watching their gameplay) and customizable GL and GR buttons on the back.

Mario Karting World Eliminates its traditional boundaries and allows drivers to roam freely throughout the race course. The game will get its own Nintendo directly later this year, and we’ll see other details here, but we already know it will include traditional matches and free roaming modes, like in Forza Horizon Series.

Joy-Con 2 C button and GameChat

Nintendo has introduced new C-keys on several new Switch 2 controllers, which will work with new GameChat communications without headphones. The button will work with the microphone on the console itself, which Nintendo says can be used whether the console is docked on the TV or in handheld mode. Nintendo claims in its trailer video that the microphone will be able to remove loud background noise. GameChat will also be used with the Nintendo Switch 2 camera, which will allow for video chat as well as a variety of camera-based game modes that support titles. GameChat will be available for free at the March 31, 2026 launch.

Nintendo Switch 2 will play three types of games: the original Nintendo Switch title, Nintendo Switch 2 Games, and Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games will get substantial enhancements. Nintendo GameCube library to swap 2

The Nintendo Switch Online Game Library will add GameCube titles on Switch 2. These games will initially include Zelda’s legend: Wind Waker, Soulcalibur II and F-Zero GX on launch day. Nintendo said each title will receive Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mero forward, Luigi’s mansion will arrive later. Nintendo will also ship the GameCube controller at the launch, which will be wireless and includes the C key of GameChat.
