Previously, if someone sent me a photo and then saved it, the photos were placed in chronological order (based on when the shot was taken) all my other photos by default. So if a family member sent me a photo last summer and I saved it, the photo will be lost in other photos.
I would scroll through hundreds of photos and videos to find it, and sometimes I would give up. But I found a toggle in the photo Sort recently added This allows you to sort the pictures by when they are saved to your device, rather than when they were taken.
This is how to sort photos when saving them to a photo so that you don’t lose photos anymore.
How to classify photos by when you save
1. Open photo.
2. Scroll into your photos until the grid takes up your entire screen.
3. Click the up and down arrow in the lower left corner of the screen.
4. Tap Sort recently added.
Once you tap into this option, you may see photos move to adjust to settings changes. The photos you recently saved or taken will now be at the bottom of the grid, even if the photos you recently saved are from weddings a few years ago.
