Pixel 9 Pro XL vs. iPhone 16 Pro Max: Giant Phone Specs Compared

Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max It’s the Whopper for the phone, with a lot of 6.9-inch screens, while Google’s 6.8-inch Pixel 9 Pro XL It’s also a real pocket extender. Both flagship phones offer high-end mobile technology, including powerful cameras and next-generation processors, as well as many advanced AI features. So let’s dig into the specifications to see how Apple and Google’s phones compare. At the end of this article, you will find a chart that compares all technical specifications side by side.

The size is a big similarity here, with the iPhone 16 Pro Max having a screen size of 6.9 inches – just 0.1 inch larger than the 6.8-inch pixel XL display. You may notice that this is almost no different, but if your main focus is to get the most screens to get money, the iPhone boots up. And, while the Pixel’s 486ppi pixel density is slightly higher than the iPhone’s 460ppi, again, this is not the difference you might find in daily use.

Both phones run on native processors, but the Pixel 9 Pro XL’s Tensor G4 was disappointed with the benchmark, closer to last year’s mid-range phone, barely surpassing its predecessor. By contrast, even the iPhone 15 Pro Max blows out pixels from the water, while the 16 Pro Max blows out the pixel proverb on our benchmark suite. Of course, you may not notice any differences for your daily email and Instagram scrolling, but the iPhone can certainly provide better gear for things like enabling ray tracing video games.

Both the iPhone and Pixel pack a standard trio of rear cameras – main, speeding and 5x telephoto. Pixels have a good fight In my recent camera gun battle. However, iPhones include Proraw images and ProRes video encoding – and new 4K Slow Motion Mode – Photo and video creators that make iPhone more attractive.

Neither phone offers scalable storage, but both offer storage capabilities up to 1TB and IP68 waterproofing.

Should you buy an iPhone or a Pixel?

Despite all the flashy specs and features, the two biggest factors most people choose between these two phones are price and software. The iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at $1,199 compared to the $1,099 Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. Is Pro up to $100 better than Google’s largest pixels? To be honest, these prices are deceptive. Compared to Apple’s 256GB, the pixel has 128GB of storage. If you upgrade to the 256GB 9 Pro XL, it costs the same as Apple’s phone.

In terms of software, a phone runs iOS and other Android. Obviously, if you, your family or close friends are on Android or iOS, that will be an important factor in determining which phone is best for you. Despite Apple’s commitment to a major OS upgrade for five years, Google promises to reach seven years. Ultimately, whether you choose the iPhone 16 Pro Max with the Pixel 9 Pro XL, you’ll get a great phone that lasts for years.
