When the most coveted Pokemon on the color spectrum is reaching Pokemon TCG bag Shiny Carnival Expansion Set arrive March 26, 2025.
The new set includes 110 new virtual cards for collectors to chase, including shiny Pokemon, Pardian Pokemon and new powerful Pokemon Ex cards. New animated immersive cards and full art versions in the base set will also achieve their normal odds.
While a complete list of Shining Revelry is not available yet, we know that shiny variants of Beedrill, Varoom, Charizard, Wugtrio, Pachirisu and Lucario have been confirmed. If the new extension follows the Hidden Destiny TCG Shiny Vault Convention, the rest of these evolutionary lines may also reveal the collection’s Shiny variant cards.
Like any Pokemon TCG bag extension, player resources are likely to be pooled into the Pokemon front card. These are the new Pokemon EX cards that confirm the shiny carnival suit.
Lynchbin on the Shiny Carnival Deck
There is no doubt that the shiny Charizard Ex Full Art will be the biggest chase card in the scene.
Charizard and Lucario have obtained additional Pokemon Ex cards in the new extension, and their full art version is Shinies introduced to the game.
While the first Charizard Ex Card chewed the energy to use its strongest attacks, the new card is more economical. If players have a fire energy on the new Charizard Ex, they can use Stoke Move to add three firepower for free.
Getting 150 damage moves in three rounds can be a huge boon, so Charizard may find a spot in the speed-based Pokemon TCG pocket deck.
The new Lucario Ex card performs well, but doesn’t do anything that other cards can’t do. Aura Sphere requires three combat energy to use and deals 100 damage to the opponent’s Pokemon, but the real draw is that it also deals 30 losses to the Pokemon on the opponent’s bench.
This could make the fourth generation fighter a champion for weaker, unevolved Pokemon, but the damage count is not putting pressure on opponents the same way other Pokemon pre-EXs do.
Pokemon TCG has shiny Pokemon
The Pokemon TCG Pocket contains shiny Pokemon isn’t completely unprecedented. Physical Pokemon TCG has a rich and long history in including weird tinted monsters on the cards.
Shinies first appeared in Pokemon TCG, how many times can a player include in the deck. All “shiny Pokemon” counts as basic Pokemon forms without evolution.
The mechanically unique Shiny Pokémon first appeared in the second-generation base NEO DESTINY, which is how Shinies are handled until the hidden fate of the Sun and Moon is released.
Hide Fate introduces the idea of a shiny vault for a special suit, where 70 shiny variants will be printed out in the TCG extension’s collection list. These cards have the same functionality as any basic card or Pokemon EX.
The hidden fate is followed by the shining fate of the Sword and Shield Age, and the Pardian fate sets for the Scarlet and Violet Age of Pokemon TCG. Between these three groups, more than 300 Pokemons are added to the shiny vault.
