Fox News Channel Summer finished summer, beating not only the cable news competitors, but also the three major broadcast networks in prime time.
According to Nelson Media Research, the total number of prime time between Fox News Monday and Sunday has been 2.43 million since June 20, beating ABC’s 2.38 million viewers, NBC’s 2.21 million viewers and CBS’s 2.03 million viewers, according to Nelson Media Research.
In August, Fox News averaged 2.3 million viewers during prime time. During prime time, MSNBC averaged 783,000 viewers, while CNN ranked third with an average score of 444,000 viewers.
Fox News is the only network that has grown audiences from election year in August 2024, but the total number of viewers has increased by 1%, while MSNBC has dropped 57% of its audience, while CNN lost 59% year-on-year.

Fox News maintained its dominance among the advertiser population aged 25-54, with an average of 237,000 in August, compared with 78,000 for CNN and 72,000 for MSNBC.
