“We’re all behind him. We’re taking root for him,” said Garry Acchione, a former fast teammate of the Navy SEALs. “I never doubted that he’s good enough to play in the NFL. I mean, we all know. Just, ‘Okay, how do you bring him there? How do he get the chance?’
“Because then, I mean, he didn’t graduate. You’re not just going into the professional team and doing that.”
The SEALs played for the Steelers from 1994-95 and recorded a sack in the Super Bowl at the end of the 1995 season.
