The former Canadian Olympic snowboarder, who allegedly became head of a transnational drug group, ordered many murders to be added to the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives”.
Ryan Wedding, who participated in the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, is still in Mexico, and may offer a $10 million reward in Mexico to obtain information that led to his arrest, federal investigators announced at a press conference in Los Angeles.
The 43-year-old wedding (also held by “El Jefe” and “Public Enemy”) was charged in a September indictment in central California that operates a network that ships from Columbia, Mexico to California, operating hundreds of kilograms of cocaine.
He allegedly planned three murders and one murder case, which he committed from 2011 to 2024 as part of the business, according to the indictment. His second commander, Andrew Clark, was arrested in Mexico in October.
Clark was held in Mexico on Monday and was subsequently transferred to the U.S. and was indicted in Phoenix on Monday, prosecutors said.
The duo will allegedly hire contract killers and strike at those they believe are in a way that their business is in the way.
In November 2023, they allegedly ordered the killing of an Indian couple to visit Canada, who they believed had stolen the transport of cocaine. This is a wrong identity. The couple was shot in front of their daughter – she was also shot but survived.
In April 2024, Clark and another co-defendant, Malik Damion, allegedly ordered the killing of another Ontario man, who was shot to death in his driveway. A month later, the wedding and Clark allegedly killed another man in a car in his driveway.
In the 2024 wedding photos, he wears a Los Angeles Dodge hat and bushy beard.
Federal authorities said they believe the wedding is currently in Mexico and may be protected by the Sinaloa cartel.
