Major League Baseball Many changes have taken place in recent years, and many fans, even players, have to get used to it.
From pitch timer to larger base, from restricted mound access to Pitchcom and Potential autoball and hittingthe game is different from the product that was the first few days before its popularity.
Perhaps the biggest change, though, is that the average length of the game has been reduced by more than half an hour.

The statistics peaked when the average nine innings lasted three hours and 10 minutes. Major League Baseball implemented a pitch timer in 2023, which shortened to 2:39. The next year, another three minutes were saved, but two of them were sent back this year.
The previous one St. Louis Cardinals Adam Wainwright pitched in the mid-2000s and retired after the first year of the course implementation, and when his career scored nine, he began to notice how long the game was.
“It may have become too much,” Wainwright admitted in a recent interview with Fox News Digital.
Wainwright didn’t miss the long game, saying, “The length of the game is perfect now.” But there’s one thing he has about the past.
“I missed that it was the ninth bottom day, it was the playoffs, there was a lot of drama, the pitcher could walk away, be able to think about what he was going to throw next and make the drama more. I miss that,” Wainwright said.

“From another perspective, I miss the fact that the third time the pitcher had time to go, ‘You know? That’s right, the first time, I took him away, next time I took him away, and then changed hands, and now I should have opened my pace. But I saw him walking towards the plate. I miss that ability because when you’re on the mound, you get the ball back and look at the catcher, you have eight seconds. I’m a pitcher with a thoughtful person and I love the thinking aspect of it.”
Wainwright also saw a comprehensive overhaul of the analysis implemented in the game, but even a veteran as smart as himself had a lot of information.
“In many ways, it’s good. There’s so much information out there that the pitcher needs to. There’s a happy medium there, analytics and old-fashioned encounters that might be an ideal best spot. I’ve already admired the slow motion camera, which totally shows why you’re spinning better on this certain course. I’m glad to come back and say ‘Good, I can make sure I can make the move on this action. Or he doesn’t hit it, why he doesn’t plan on it.
But, like everyone else, sometimes there are too many analysis, including when Wayne Wright said he was lucky after Freddie Freeman.
“I took him to a terrible backup cutter and I tried to squeeze under his hands. I threw it away and he threw it on the second base. So the analysis came back and said, “Look, if you go back again, the analysis aspect of the analysis aspect says, it’s a good ball for you.” ”This is not something the pitcher is going to copy, and if I throw it to him again he will hit 450 feet.

“There is some information that you can go all out and then you have to say, ‘OK, I understand you, but this is a computer, it doesn’t understand the human aspect of things. I don’t want to try to throw this ball away again. It’s totally lucky. So you filter all this stuff and put it in a filter and you go, “I really like it, I really don’t want that.” So you make a decision based on that. ”
As for the changes in the rules, they seem to attract fans as the average attendance rate will be ranked in the top 29,000 for the third consecutive year, the first extension since 2017. It should also be noted that this year’s two teams, track and field and Tampa Bay Rays will play on this year’s minor league court, limiting attendance in 162 games.
Each of the past two seasons is the first time since 2011 and 2012 Increased attendance in back-to-back season.
