A former policeman Florida Authorities said Thursday they were charged with traveling to meet an 11-year-old girl.
Gary Mygdal, 73, allegedly had a sexually clear conversation with someone he believed to be a child and agreed to meet her in what he believed to be her home.
According to the arrest affidavit Tampa Bay Times.
Police said Mygdal had been a Pinellas Park police officer for ten years from 1974 to 1984.

He was also on the Pinellas Park Commission of two cities when he was arrested FOX13 Tampa Report. Mygdal has since been suspended in seats on these boards and can be deleted at the next meeting.

Police Chief Adam Geissenberger said in a statement that the case highlighted the ministry’s commitment to protecting children from predators.

Mygdal is accused of traveling to meet minors Second-degree felony in Florida. He was held at Pinellas County Prison with a $15,000 deposit, according to online jail records.
