Australian golfer Ryan Peake It officially changed his life.
The 31-year-old is eligible Open Champion On Sunday, five years after spending five years in prison, he won the New Zealand Open.
Peake, a member of the rebel motorcycle gang, was convicted of assault at the age of 21. He was a teammate of 2022 champion golfer Cameron Smith.

After leaving prison, he returned to golf and started rebuilding his career with the help of leading coach Richie Smith, with the support of his family.
He won a travel card in Australia this season, his first professional victory.
“I always knew I could do that, but it was just something I was going to do,” Pique said. “With my family and team, everyone believed it, and most importantly, I believed it, too.”

Peake trailed South Korea’s overnight leader Guntaek Koh and went into the final round of Milbrook Resort in Queenstown for four strokes. He led the 67th hole for the first time, without bogey, and entered 55 holes.
“I just changed my life,” Pique said. “That’s what I’m going to do. I just want to play golf here. The story is it. But I’m just playing golf here.”
