Florida Freshman guard Ethan Pritchard suffered a gunshot wound last weekend in Saturday’s game against East Texas A&M.
Pritchard was shot dead while driving, his father Earl told WFTV Wednesday. He is still hospitalized in Tallahassee, Florida.

FSU head coach Mike Norvell said he visited Pritchard earlier this week and has been providing his team with the latest news about Pritchard’s status.
Florida Frustrated Alabama Pritchard’s father was in attendance last week, taking the lead in the second game of the season, defeating East Texas A&M 77-3 at home on Saturday.

Pritchard played high school football at Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida and is a four-star recruit. He ranks 437th in the 247Sports Comprehensive and 507th in the ON3 industry rankings.
ESPN ranked Pritchard as the 39th guard in the country and the 64th player in Florida.
As a senior, he helped lead Seminole High School to a 10-2 record and won the second straight regional final in 2024, recording 39 tackles and 7 tackles in nine games.

As a junior, Pritchard had 75 tackles and 11 tackles, and Seminole High School recovered its failure with a score of 10-3. He began his high school career as he was a sophomore and then transitioned to defender.
Pritchard worked in Florida in October 2023 In Miami, Florida and UCF etc.
There will be no matches in Florida next week. The next game will be against Kent September 20.
