one Georgia The state court ordered Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis to conduct a new search on criminal cases related to President Donald Trump after finding her search method inadequate.
The latest order from the Fulton County Superior Court judge stems from months-long judicial oversight by the Conservative regulator to gain communication between Willis’s office and a specific committee on January 6, as well as the team of former special counsel Jack Smith.
The order is the latest setback in Willis’ case after a judge ordered her office to pay about $22,000 in legal fees to judicial supervision in January, finding she failed to adequately respond to the supervisory agency’s initial request for public records.

Tom FettonThe Judicial Oversight President told Fox News Digital that his organization has been digging Willis’s newsletter because he believes district attorneys are inappropriately coordinating with the federal government to demand Trump accusation in the 2020 election.
“The lawsuit is about any collusion and cooperation with Congress and the Justice Department Jack Smith, and we haven’t seen these documents yet, but they show that because of their presence, they’re talking to them.”
Asked why Willis communicated with the Jan. 6 committee or Smith, Fetteton said the existence of interaction alone showed a lack of independence in Willis’s work, and her prosecution of Trump and 18 others was “political action” rather than “an honest, well-intentioned process.”
“Look, if Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff are doing this investigation, you might be sure it is not credible,” Fitton said in reference to former Democratic House Speaker and member of the Democratic-led Jan. 6 committee.

The judge said his order was Willis’ response to the affidavit Nathan Wade Chief Investigator Michael Hill is indispensable to collecting evidence in an investigation into Trump’s alleged subversion of the Georgia election.
The court raised questions about whether they had searched records, saying communication might have been ignored and Willis had to report more comprehensively on her search method within 14 days.

In March 2025, the court ordered Willis to produce 212 pages of records found after Willis’s office initially denied its existence. However, the new order instructs Willis to clarify the search protocol used for Hill and Wade records.
Willis conducted a huge scrutiny of defendants and attorneys in the Georgia Legislature in terms of investigations and prosecutions against Trump.

Willis accused Trump and 18 co-defendants in August 2023 and performed singing and other violations in the 2020 election, but the case was greatly reduced due to a plea agreement and the charges were dismissed.
Eventually, the Georgia Court of Appeal disqualified Willis from the case and found that her private romantic relationship with Wade raised a conflict of interest. Since the ruling, the case has been put on hold indefinitely.
