Atlanta Falcon The great Julio Jones announced his retirement from the NFL after 13 seasons on Friday.
Jones, 36, is a franchise leader for the Falcons (848) and catch yards (12,896), second only to Roddy White (60) in touchdowns.
“I announced my retirement. I started when I was 8 in Foley, Alabama. It was an amazing journey,” Jones wrote. In the statement.

Jones picked the 6th pick in 2011 NFL Draft by the Falcons of Alabama. He played for 10 seasons with the Falcons and was appointed Pro-Bowl seven times and was five times for All Pros.

Jones every season with Tennessee TitanTampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles worked with the Falcons for 10 years. Jones played with the Hawks in 2023 but did not play in 2024.
Jones scored 914 passes for 13,703 yards and 66 touchdowns in his NFL career.

“I’m making this announcement today due to the city of Atlanta,” Jones said in a statement. “Thank you, I’m grateful for you. That’s just love. I did it on 404 days – it’s a ride. … It’s for the city, man, I thank you all of you.”
