Exclusive – Texas, led by Republican Attorney General Ken Paxtona vocal Trump ally is suing a school district in northwest Dallas for allegedly continuing to teach critical racial theory in its classrooms.
Critical Race Theory – Also known for the acronym “CRT”, a concept that teaches racial bias, is inherent in the social part, and discrimination is systematically embedded in the legal and policy aspects.
The lawsuit was in response to a video showing Evan Whitfield, the director of Coperel Independent School District courses, discussing how the district “resolves” the ban on using CRT in state policies and curriculum.

Teaching CRT violated Texas Laws that prohibit educators to twelfth grade teach “one race or gender is essentially superior to another race or gender” or “a person, by the individual race or gender, is essentially racist, sexist or oppressive.”
The same law also states that no educator can understand the “1619 Project,” a historical study founded by the author of The New York Times Nikole Hannah-Jones This attempts to transform American history into being established and rooted in slavery. The project was undermined by credible allegations of historical distortion and inaccuracy.
Texas law states that educators cannot teach anyone because of their race or gender, be responsible for, blame or guilty of actions taken in the past.
The law also prohibits teachers from imposing the idea that elite or hard work ethics are characterized by racism or gender discrimination, or the emergence of slavery in the United States constituted the real establishment of the United States, often associated with the 1619 project.

According to the lawsuit, Whitfield “clearly notes that the Koper Independent School District’s policy is to use the district’s funds and other resources to teach courses that violate state laws and guidance to develop and distribute teaching CRT courses.”
The lawsuit further claimed Whitfield answered a question of whether the area would be in trouble for violations of the law, saying: “We have said we don’t teach it to fix it.”
“When asked if the teacher could close the door and teach the ‘right thing,’ the defendant Whitfield replied: ‘shh, that’s what we’re going to do.”
Paxton is seeking to get the court to issue a permanent injunction to prevent Coppell ISD officials from teaching CRT and using tax funds to distribute CRT materials. Instead, Paxton said Cople ISD must implement a “color blindness” course under Texas law.

This is not the first time Cople ISD has been sued for illegal professor CRT.

Commenting on his lawsuit, Paxton said: “Texas kids should receive the best education in the world, not awaken their ideology.”
“Liberal administrators who want to ignore state laws and illegally promote separatist and racist CRT courses in the classroom will be held accountable for their actions,” Paxton said. “My lawsuit is intended to end this illegal and hateful course immediately and to immediately block the blatant refusal to comply with state laws of certain officials at Coppell ISD.”
