The previous one Ohio Michael Roen McCullough, a long snapper, was arrested in Columbus early Friday morning, allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and strangling her during a debate, police records show.

McCullough, 25, was arrested by Columbus police after 1:30 a.m. and booked at the Franklin County Correctional Center where he was detained, according to online records.

The police responded Domestic Violence A woman claimed the two were attacked by McCullough after the quarrel.

According to court records Columbus dispatch, The woman accused McCullough of punching her several times and grabbing her in the throat. She told law enforcement that she was “absolutely unable to breathe and panic.”

The woman also claimed to have lost consciousness until they returned home. McCullough is also accused of breaking the woman’s cell phone.

McCullough started at Ohio State University in 2018-20. According to the school’s website, he won the honors of the second team plenary and was named the fourth long snapper nationwide.

Ohio State did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
