Enes Kanter Freedom sounds alarm on China’s ‘war’ warning: ‘Wake up America’

Former NBA player Enes Kanter Free The United States warned the United States on Wednesday after China vowed to “fight until the end” to swear tariffs against President Donald Trump.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday saying it was ready for any “type” war with the United States. Chinese Government Trump rose from 10% to 20% earlier this week to Beijing fail to resolve fentanyl flows into the U.S.

Kanter Freedom, who has spoken out against the Chinese government over the past few years, sent an alert about the threat in his post on X.

“No approval from the capital, no embassy made such statements,” he wrote. “Wake America.”

Kanter Freedom is one of the only NBA players to oppose Chinese President Xi Jinping, and the detention center for Uyghur Muslims. He also criticized the NBA for establishing a partnership with the NBA when the atrocities occurred.

“If war is what the United States wants, whether it is a tariff war, a trade war or any other type of war, we are ready to fight until the end,” Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said in a statement. China has already responded to the tariffs that are 15% tariffs on American agricultural products.

Jane’s statement, quote By the Chinese Embassy in Washingtonbelieves that the fentanyl issue is a “fragile excuse” to increase tariffs on Chinese imports. Jian warned that “intimidation will not scare us” and “bullying” will not work.

“Suppression, coercion or threat is not the right way to deal with China,” Jane said. “Anyone who puts the most pressure on China is choosing the wrong person and misunderstanding.”

Tariffs against China came into effect on Tuesday. Trump hiked tariffs through an executive order on Monday that said the Chinese government failed to “bluntly induce the ongoing influx of synthetic opioids, including fentanyl, from [their country]”This failure poses an “exceptional and extraordinary threat.”

Since its announcement, the Chinese government has opposed tariffs.

The Trump administration has imposed a 25% tariff on Canadian and Mexican goods announced last month, and will take effect on Tuesday.

Kanter Freedom played in the NBA from 2011 to 2022. He averaged 11.2 points per game in 748 careers. He met the Boston Celtics for the last time and was traded to the Houston Rockets, and later gave up.
