The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony mentions the assassination of conservative activists without any passing Charlie Kirk On Sunday night.
Comedian Nate Bargatze, who hosted the event, as well as celebrity hosts and award winners, did not mention the brutal murder of the founder of the U.S. turning point during the televised broadcast. In a pre-conducted interview, Bargatze said he plans Avoid political topics During his presidency.

The 31-year-old conservative activist was shot dead while holding a turning point American event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday. “I think a lot of people are watching and I know they’re watching me stand for this reason, so I just don’t want to break the trust I have in them and just make the night a fun night.”

He did mention Kirk’s tragedy, calling it “the saddest thing in the world”, but showed that the award had no last-minute changes to address the shooting.

On stage, TV Academy Committee Chairman Cris Abrego touted the power of storytelling to resolve the division in the country.
“When the division ruled the headlines, storytelling still has the ability to unite us,” he said. “Everyone in this room must continue to embrace this power and wield it responsibly in such moments. Neutrality is not enough. We have to be a voice of connectivity, inclusion and empathy because we know that culture does not rise from top down, but from bottom up.”

During an interview with a variety show on the Emmy Awards red carpet, the actor Javier Bardem Talking about the keffiyeh scarf he wore during the event.
“I am here today to condemn the genocide in Gaza,” he told reporter Mark Malkin on the red carpet. “I’m talking about the International Association of Genocide Scholars IAGS, who did a thorough study of genocide and declared it a genocide. That’s why we demand sanctions on Israel to create commercial and diplomatic lockdowns to stop genocide. Free Palestine.”
