“Duck Dynasty” Star Phil Robertson’s family has made the latest news on the health of the family’s patriarch just months after Alzheimer’s diagnosis.
In the episode of the April 2 “No Shame with the Robertson Family” podcast, sons Jase and Al Robertson and their cousin Zach Dasher revealed Phil was not doing well.
“The first question I’ve been going everywhere [is]”How is your father?” Now, I just give the truth of the straightforwardness. I said, ‘Not good'” Jasse said.
He added that Phil is now receiving “some professional care.”

Jase also shared that Zach recently visited Phil and with Phil’s situation.
“When Zach came out, I pulled in…I was like, ‘What’s wrong?'” “And Zach just lost it, you know, I kind of realized that when you’re in this fight every day, you kind of divide everything so you can handle it.”
“We’re making him feel comfortable and doing his best. I think that’s exactly what you do,” Jass said.
Zach also experienced the effects of Alzheimer’s with his mother. He said the visit was difficult, partly because he hadn’t seen Phil in a while and his decline seemed even more intense than the daily experiences of his immediate family.

He said, “I think you see fading when you’re inside like you guys. But I haven’t been here or seen him in months. So I came in and it’s like, ‘Wow,’.”
“I’ve said a lot Dementia and Alzheimer’s. But I think anyone in our audience who has experienced it will resonate with them – we talked about how it steals memories of people with this disease. ”
Zach continued, “But for me, it also steals the memory of caring for people with this disease because you see this slow progress over time and it’s hard to watch.”
“We thank you for your prayers,” Jassel said of the support of his family, friends and fans.

He first shared his father’s health in December and said in his podcast that Phil had “the early stages of Alzheimer’s.”
“It’s like speeding up, and it causes his whole physical problem. He already has the early stages of Alzheimer’s. So if you put these things together, he really doesn’t do it well. He’s struggling,” Jase said at the time.
Willie RobertsonPhil’s son was also talking to Fox News on the phone at the time and clarified that Phil “is fighting a lot of different things”.
“He has a blood disease, and then his psychological problems may have been long ago [on-set] Willie explained that Alzheimer’s…probably because of his blood and some mini sprints. So we’re still checking all of this. But then he also had a problem. He had a fractured back, and that was where the pain lies. So he is fighting against many different things at the same time. ”

“We’re kind of like this,” he said, but noted that she’s improving.
