A 4-year-old boy was killed Tuesday night when his vehicle crashed in a building near Crenshaw Avenue, Los Angeles police officials said.
LAPD official Charles Miller said the driver, an unidentified 37-year-old man, fled the scene before police arrived and left behind the injured boy, a woman and a third passenger.
Miller said the car hit a building on Crenshaw Boulevard and Rodeo Arena around 11 p.m. Tuesday. Miller said police are investigating the crash and are looking for a pilot who fled the crash.
The boy was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Other passengers suffered inanimate injuries.
