More than 40 people with connections to Venezuelan gang Tren de Alaguya were arrested Hayes County, Texason Tuesday morning, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced.
“In recent days, [FBI San Antonio] Intelligence possible gathering of Venezuelan gang members or colleagues about possible gatherings of Venezuelan gang Trund de Alaguya (TDA) [Texas Department of Public Safety’s] Texas DPS released to X.
“For more than a year, law enforcement departments including DPS, the FBI, federal, state and local partners have been investigating suspicious TDA members, and Tuesday’s action was the result of a cooperative effort to make Texas communities safer.”
The Texas and U.S. government allegations have not been announced as they are still under investigation. They noted that minors were also detained and had drug seizures due to the execution of a search warrant.

The gang was designated as Foreign terrorist organizations Carried by the Trump administration, and since then, efforts have been made to detain suspicious members. Many of the alleged members have been transported to a prison in El Salvador, including 17 prisons held in Guantanamo Bay earlier this week.

“To ensure the safety of the American people, @Potus designates Tren de Aragua and MS-13 as foreign terrorist organizations,” Rubio posted to X last week. “These criminals will no longer intimidate our communities and citizens.”

The Trump administration had an ongoing federal court battle with U.S. District Court Judge James Boasberg in a certain dismissal using the Alien Enemies Act of 1798. In 17 cases, it was conducted under Title 8, the White House told Fox News last week.
