The White House identified Gleason as Jogg’s official acting head last month. Gleason, a little-known government employee who also worked for the first Trump administration, provided a statement in a court application last week involving a lawsuit against Doge, further explaining how the government office operates.

“In USD, I oversee details of all USDS staff and other agencies USD,” Gleason wrote in her manifesto. “I report to White House Chief of Staff Suzy Wells.”
Gleason previously worked for the US Digital Services, a service founded in 2014 by former President Barack Obama as the technology office within the president’s executive office. Trump signed an executive order in January to rename the office to U.S. threshold service and to establish a church.

In addition to overseeing USDS, Gleason is also responsible for the U.S. Doge Services Interim Organization – an office established by Trump in January, which is located under the USDS umbrella and will expire on July 4, 2026.

Gleason explained in her manifesto that the door was established under Trump’s executive order, and agency heads were accused of creating their own team of governors to find and eliminate overspending. Gleason said the respective agent Doge team consists of agent employees or details that are not reported to her.

“Each member of the Governor’s team of the agent is an employee of the agency or details of the agency. Whether it is an employee of the agency or a detailed introduction to the agency, hence to the head of the agency or his designated person, not me or others,” she wrote.
She added: “In some cases, members of the agency Doge team are USD to agency details. Here, USDS details are assigned to the agency Doge team and they act as the details of the Doge team, which are supervised by the agency staff they describe in detail.”
Gleason, described by his former colleagues as “a world-class talent”, often working for a long time and not political.

According to its website, Doge saves an estimated $115 billion in government spending in the form of labor reduction, contract cancellation, regulatory savings and other initiatives. Trump has hyped Doge’s repeated works in public speeches, including the removal of a list of government grants since taking office in the first speech at a joint meeting of Congress, which was held earlier this month.
