Clayton Kershaw applauds

Kershaw’s 2.54 career era is the lowest of any Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher in the live ball era (since 1920), with at least 1,000 innings being pitched. He also participated in the club that joined the 3,000-shot club earlier this year and was one of 11 pitchers to win at least three Cy Young Awards. All other eligible people are in the Hall of Fame except Roger Clemens.

Kershaw will spend his entire 18 years with the Dodgers and won the World Series in 2020 and 2024.

Lefty leads the National League five times in the ERA, including each year from 2011 to 2014. The 2014 campaign was probably his best as he released 1.77 ERA with 1.77 ERA, six full matches, MLB leading 10.8 K/9 and 0.86 WHIP and won the MVP. He is still the last starting pitcher named MVP.

Kershaw only entered ERA above 3.00 only five times. This year is 3.53.

In addition to his three wins, Kershaw won the top ten in the Cy Young Awards, won six more votes and was finalized in three other instances.

Kershaw has been named 11 All-Star Games in his outstanding career, including a waiver as Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred this summer.

The injury has derailed Kershaw for much of the past decade, as he hasn’t made 30 starts since 2015.
