USNORTHCOM said additional troops will support the joint task force’s operations, including command and control of sustainable units and coordination of logistics support, site feeding support locations and control of logistics movements.

The deployed Army units will be from the 101st Division Maintenance Battalion at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Alpha Company, 189th Division Maintenance Support Battalion (DSSB), Fort Bravo Company, 68th DSSB, Fort Carson, Colorado; Charlie Corporation, 129th DSSB, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Headquarters and Headquarters of the 264th Combat Maintenance Support Battalion in Fort Bragg, NC; 70th Movement Control Team, Langley-Estis Joint Base, Virginia; and 564th Quartermaster, Lewis-McChord Joint Base, Washington United Base.
The Trump administration has designated eight gangs and cartels, including Tren de Aragua, Sinaloa Cartel and MS-13, foreign terrorist groups, a move that expands the U.S. government’s ability to undermine criminal organizations operating on its territory.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced this month that under Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, there is a “sufficient factual basis” to issue designations to gangs and cartels.
The Trump administration also began sending flights of illegal immigrants to the Guantanamo Bay detention center in Cuba earlier this month.

About 30,000 “criminal illegal foreigners” can be held at the base of hundreds of prisoners who were once placed, with only 15 left behind before Trump began sending immigrants there.
