The Pentagon did not say whether it was done on purpose, but Pentagon Press Secretary John Ullyot made the following statement to Fox News Digital Numbers before resuming the story:
“Everyone in the Department of Defense likes Jackie Robinson, and Navajo Robinson, Navajo Robinson, Tuskegee Airmen, Iwo Jima’s Marines and many others pay tribute to them, and we pay tribute to them, in many cases, their strong service to our country, and we are reluctant to express our qualities through the numerous zeal and fanatical traits.
