Tony Award-nominated actor Dennis Arndt Ask Sharon Stone In “basic instinct”, die. He is 86 years old.
Arndt died Tuesday in his long-term cabin home in Ashland, Oregon, and his family announced In the Published Wednesday.

Arndt was born on February 23, 1939 in Issaquah, Washington – his family pointed out that this was the same year as the classic movie The Oz of Oz and pioneered the use of cinemas in cinemas.

“That was like dad’s life,” his family wrote. “It started in black and white and flourished into a life of color, glory, bold adventure and passion.”
Arndt served as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart twice. After leaving the army, Arndt took a helicopter in Alaska and moved to Seattle, where he began his acting career after a friend convinced him to audition at a local theater.
“Of course, dad played the main role,” his family wrote. “And he was smart. He brought his talent, passion and dedication into his second actor career both on stage and on the screen.”
Arndt’s family noted that he “spent multiple seasons at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland” and then pursued a Hollywood career.

The actor made his debut in the 1974 TV movie “Out of Control on the Rogue River”, whose early careers included guest appearances in “Age of Miracle” and “Murder”, she wrote, “Life continues.”
Arnte’s husband Mary Tyler Moore From 1988 to 1989, the titular character of the TV series “Annie McGuire”. From 1990 to 1991, he later threw Arndt into other legal dramas at David E. Kelley, including “Picking Fence,” “Ally McBeal,” “Practice,” and “Boston Law.”

One of Arnette’s earliest movie roles was the 1992 porn thriller “Basic Instinct”. He portrays Lieutenant Phillip Walker, one of an investigator who asked Sharon Stone’s character, Catherine Tramell, in one of the film’s most iconic scenes.

He appeared in the 1995 TV series “How to Make an American Quilt” and the 2001 sports drama “Indisputable”.
In 2003, Arndt played Sgt. Howard is based on an action thriller of the 1970s series of the same name.

In addition to his appearance on Kelley’s TV show, Arndt’s later TV productions include guest roles “Gray Anatomy” “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “Disappeared”, “Supernatural” and “Good Fight”.

Arndt’s last on-screen work includes guest appearances on the TV show How to Get Out of Murder in 2018, and roles in the 2023 short film The Do-Over.

Arndt’s family wrote in his idioms when he received a Tony Award Nominated for his performance in the 2017 Broadway drama Heisenberg.
Arndt’s family noted that they will hold a private funeral for the actors, adding: “Instead of flowers, he will ask you to grab the ball and follow your passion.”

Arndt is survived by his 45-year-old wife, Magee Downey, his seven children and “many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren” and his niece.
