Washington Post columnist Catherine Rampell slammed Democrats on Friday for their criticism of it for their criticism of it President Donald Trump’s tariffs.
In the new work Economic columnist believes Liberal MPs did not meet the threat of tariffs with “chaotic” concerns.
She wrote: “This is a criticism of President Donald Trump’s trade war in many Democrats over the past week. They have a triangle between slamming Trump’s disastrous thoughts and supporting someone who is equally dynamic (if reduced) of themselves.

Rampell described the loss of tariffs, noting that they would “raise the annual cost of a typical household $2,700” and that companies have begun offering workers a break due to their surge in recession risks, and that our once closed allies are turning us over our birds. ”
She announced that Democratic lawmakers should spend a wild day for it, but that’s not the case.
“If it’s a curse for the American economy, it should be a surprise for Democratic politicians. Instead, Democrats are cheering up,” she added, “instead of shouting at the rooftops that the trade war is bad, but Democrats are in’Yes, but, but. Yes, these special tariffs are expensive and returnable, but when Democrats impose tariffs, they have no such drawbacks in some way.”
Rampell mentioned how the party seemed to contradict past tariffs, noting that the party “attacked” the first Trump administration’s tariffs in the mid-2018 and 2020 presidential elections – which had been used as its own tariffs not long ago. ”

As columnists said, former President Biden “has extended almost all current taxes on Trump” even though he had previously condemned them. “In some cases, he expanded it or replaced them with slightly different trade barriers. With the strong support of his party, he did so.”
Then, Rampell Governor Gretchen Whitmer, D-Mich.
Whitmer carefully criticized Trump’s tariffs, while also acknowledging and understanding the president’s “motivation behind the tariffs” and even agreeing with Trump’s agreement that we “need to make more in the United States.”
Rampell slams Whitmer for criticizing tariffs but offers no real choice.
“On Wednesday, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (D) gave a speech criticizing Trump for wielding the ‘hammer’ tariffs. When asked how her tariffs differed, Whitmer couldn’t answer.

The columnist also slams D-Mass. Senator Elizabeth Warren, in a bid to criticize Trump’s tariffs. Support Biden. She wrote that Warren’s “The real problem with Trump tariffs is that companies will use them as excuses for ‘price gouging’ and profitability. The stock market massacre shows that investors disagree with the tariffs would be profitable. But even if Warren’s criticism is true, it should apply to competitive biden-née-née-née-née-née-née-née-trump triffs warren backed.”
She also accused “left-handed populist thinkers” of criticizing Trump only because there were no tariffs used for his agenda. Additionally, Lambert said the party has tilted “a corner” on the topic as they are also trying to attract their supporters in professional lawyer constituencies like unions.
The columnist summed up her point of view, saying that since “Americans hate Trump’s tariffs,” “Democrats should stop slamming.”
“What the country needs is a clear, full-out condemnation of protectionism,” she said.
