Dawn Robinson’s ex-husband Andre “Drey” Allen is reaching out to help the former En Vogue singer After she revealed that she had lived in the car for three years.
During an interview TMZ Hip Hop This was published Thursday, and Allen, 49, married Robinson, 58, from 2003 to 2010, shared that he is providing her with a job in the hospitality industry.
Allen, who is also a singer and former member of the 1990s pop music and R&B group IV Xample and currently works full-time hospitality, told TMZ that he believes Robinson will be the “perfect” for the Hilton brand sales division.

After the group broke up in 1998, Allen released two solo albums and wrote songs for many record artists. He told TMZ that when she reunited with the group in 2008, he helped Robinson return to EN Vogue when he left again in 2011.

In a conversation with TMZ Hip Hop, Allen told the media that he had abandoned the music industry, which he said saved his “life and finance.” He explained that he found that working in the hospitality industry was more successful than he had achieved in the music business.
Allen claimed he had loaned money to “dozens of famous music industry friends” and said he knew others who died of poverty, which prompted him to try to help Robinson after learning that Robinson knew about her current situation.
He told TMZ Hip Hop that he had previously offered Robinson an opportunity and hoped she would accept the position. Allen said his ex-wife will receive “free medical treatment for the first day” as well as “PTO to juggle her career.”

In the video posted Youtube Robinson found super success in the 1990s with En Vogue band members Cindy Herron, Terry Ellis and Maxine Jones on Tuesday, opening her car since 2022.
She explains why she chose to pursue a “car life” and expresses her hope that her vulnerability can help inspire others in a serious situation.
“People are like, ‘You shouldn’t talk about it, because You are a celebrity What if they judge you? so what? What if they judge me? Life is life. . . . Part of humanity is vulnerable. ” she said.
“You guys, I’ve been living in the car for the last three years.” “I said, Oh my god, it’s out.”
Robinson said her goal is to “inspire” others and let people know that they “have any competence, whatever might be possible for you.”

explaining how she got to where she was, Robinson said she had lived with her parents in Las Vegas about five years ago. After a conflict with mom, the singer decided to leave and ended up sleeping in her car for about a month.

A co-manager at the time urged her to move to Los Angeles, telling Robinson that he would help her find her residence. But at the eight-month hotel, Robinson got in touch when he realized he was “playing the game”.
“Sometimes, I think people want to trap you and put you in a vulnerable situation,” she said. “So, I got out of there.”
Afterwards, Robinson packed his luggage and drove to Malibu, California to start her “car life”.

Robinson quickly learned the ins and outs of car life, such as “covering windows” and avoiding talking to “some people.”
“I feel free,” she said. “It’s so different. I feel like I’m on a camping trip. It feels like the right thing.”
“I’m learning about who I am as a human being, a woman,” she continued. “We said we didn’t even know we were capable…I’m glad I made this choice because I needed to get around this fire and I’m glad.”

“I don’t trade my experience, nor the world,” she added. “I miss my family. I miss everyone I contacted. But I need to do it alone…but I need to do this for me. Anyway, it’s not easy for me.”
Robinson said she was “very proud” of how far she had gone and urged her followers to face their fears.
