The flash design has been unveiled Davinci’s determination 20This is the latest version of its editing app, which comes with both a free and paid version, is a popular alternative to Adobe Premiere Pro. The update offers over 100 new features, including many AI-powered features, as well as improved cloud support and significant lifespan updates for cutting, editing, color and fusion pages.
One of the key new features, called AI Intelliscript, can automatically generate schedules based on original project scripts. “AI IntelliScript matches transcription audio from media clips to scripts and builds a schedule of best options, any alternative puts it on other tracks of editor comments,” Blackmagic wrote. The new feature can greatly speed up editorial workflows (Like me) They often use stand-up or voice-over editing.
Another key feature is the AI Set Extension, which creates a scene extension to fill the entire frame according to text prompts. For example, if you want to re-replace the lens or delete something, you can simply tell Davinci to solve what you want and fill in the blanks. “Customers can even create new backgrounds behind the prospective object,” the company wrote.
Other new AI features include AI animated subtitles, AI Mulltcam SmartSwitch (which can be assembled on who speaks), and AI Audio Assistant. According to Blackmagic Design, the latter can create a “Professional Audio Mix” with one click. Finally, the AI detects music beats feature does this, analyzing the music and automatically placing beat marks in the timeline.
In addition to AI content, Davinci Resolve has many quality of life improvements on cut, edit, color and fusion pages. Davinci Resolve Studio 20 (paid version) now supports Apple Immersive Video on Apple Vision Pro, allowing creators to edit, color rating, mix audio and deliver Apple Immersive video capture on the company’s recently launched Ursa Cine Immersive Camera.
Other updates include improved flash cloud support, improved collaboration tools, easier vertical video editing, new dubbing palettes, dedicated keyframe editors in cut and editing, new text+ tools, direct recording and more. On the Color page, there is a new chromaticity meridian feature that allows you to adjust color and saturation with a single motion. Fairlight Audio pages have a new feature that adjusts the audio of the target clip to match reference clips, dynamic EQs to match tones throughout the clip and level matchers to ensure consistent levels in a given schedule.
