Although it is a competitive category, Senator Core Cory Booker DN.J. may be the perfect personification of today’s Democratic Party’s total political yang.

On Monday and Tuesday, for reasons that are not yet clear, Senator Spartacus Take the floor of the House of Lords to talk 24 hours in a row That could have stood out from the movie.

In fact, it does come out of the movie Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, where Jimmy Stewart plays a senator who delivered a marathon speech delivered 85 years ago.

That’s exactly what Old Booker’s acting nonsense feels like this week.

Further precedents of the conversation came from the segregationist Strom Thurmond, whose long Booker record of 1957 was defeated.

For anyone worth paying attention, frankly, this may be very few, and why is the question when Booker keeps challenging? Is this kind of speech purposeful, or is it essentially a political Tiktok challenge?

Call me lazy if you want, but I didn’t actually read or read all the 25 hours of Babblin’Booker’s remarks when preparing for this column. I would be shocked if there were five people in the world doing this.

It can be argued that from the highlights, we can see most of the time the Trump administration’s “abnormal” weapons and crazy manifestos, which are probably the most convincing moments of the show.

Is this kind of speech purposeful, or is it essentially a political Tiktok challenge?

“I admit I’m not perfect,” Booker said solemnly. “I admit, I’m not enough to reach this moment. I admit that the Democrats made a horrible mistake, which gave this instigator. I admit that we all have to look in the mirror and say ‘We’ll do better.'”

Two things stand out here. One is the religious belief of his speech. He could almost beat his chest three times in Mass while talking. Another is the need to take extraordinary measures to stop Trump, a way to “in any way necessary”.

Even using filobuster itself betrays this. After all, not long ago, Democrats insisted that this ancient Senate process was racist and must be abolished.

It was a friendly rate to former Democrat-turned-independent Arizona Senator Krysten Sinema, who ended up laughing and quipped on X on Tuesday: “Maybe this isn’t an old Jim Crow relic.”

The more dangerous aspect of setting aside situational ethics in work about when or not racism is that Booker insists that even with the “non-traditional” approach, our country faces some terrible dangers in the form of Trump that must be thwarted.

Importantly, Booker is not a breathing radical. As mayor of Newark, New Jersey, he is considered a centrist. At that time, he made YouTube videos with former Republican Governor Chris Christie of Garden State.

Apart from almost certain second campaigns for the president, the reason for this change is that Booker’s Democratic United decided that President Donald Trump was so existential threat to the United States and all the existence of what he represented that he could not cooperate with him and had to be destroyed politically.

This attitude rejects the will of voters who take Trump to office, but it also ignores millions of Americans who haven’t voted for Trump but still want Democrats to work with him to solve the problem instead of continuing to scream for four years.

The reason we see the old protests today is that the shabby songs from the struggles of the Sixties were sung, which is why Booker tore up this cheesy fillibuster page from an old Hollywood script.

Democrats try to evoke a feeling from the feeling of using these ancient symbolic forms, but the problem is that Jimmy Stewart’s iconic film speech and Joan Baez’s songs are real expressions of their time. Today, these forms have no life. They are just empty shells.

Maybe Democrats are harvesting what they sow. Maybe when you take the time to tear down traditions, fall down statues, and connect with our past past, because progressives do so, then the symbol of the past loses all its power.

Sorry, Senator Booker, your record-breaking speech is not brave or inspiring, but tired, playful, and not improving the interests of the American people.

The time to perform stunts is over, and it’s time to help all Americans with President Trump.
