Philadelphia – I met Greg about my age because we were both Central cityAlthough our conversation was calm and friendly, as a progressive Democrat, he was also scared and even angry about President Donald Trump’s literal meaning, which seemed high to me in my opinion.
“If I had to pull the gun onto the Republicans, that’s what I’m going to do,” Greg told me. “This is the greatest crossroads in our country since the Civil War.”
It is not particularly threatening. Even though he knew I was a Republican who voted for Trump, I don’t think he meant me.
But he is sure what hell means.

Greg I met in Philadelphia couldn’t believe that Republicans were happy with President Trump’s performance. (Fox News figures)
Later that day, in the sleepy West Philadelphia of a sleepy big house, this is on the left, which makes the center city look like TexasI talked to three students. I’m curious if they’ve experienced a tense relationship with friends or family politically.
“Yes,” a young woman told me, “but I don’t often think I’m a good role judge.” The clear message is that anyone willing to vote for Trump is not the one she or her friends want to do anything.
They told me that Trump’s cuts were a big problem for them, and I asked, what I asked was, what does Dee mean? At that time, they moved to another table. Again, it’s not unpleasant, but it’s pointed out.

The speed of change under Trump has stimulated his supporters, but a bookstore owner seems to be scared. (Fox News figures)
In a charming local bookstore, owner John kindly found Mary Beard’s book I hadn’t read and talked about some politics.
He told me ominously: “It’s all changed a lot.”
Almost all Democrats I talked to in Brotherly Love City seem to think that there are a large number of Trump voters in the hinterland that must regret voting for Trump.
We see this attitude.”Real-time with Bill Maher“On the weekend, when guest Batya Ungar-Sargon shocked him, not only saying she didn’t regret her vote for Trump, but she was proud of it.
I face similar doubts about Greg: Based on this assumption that is so slim that there is no detail, Trump’s action this time is so intense that we must certainly understand that we have made a profound mistake with him, even if we can’t say so to save the face.
Flashback: Philadelphia is Kamala Harris’ Alamo, here nervous Democrats know
They believe.
Much of this comes down to bubbles, no, not just the progressives living in them. In my little West Virginia town, it is totally normal to see Maga Hats at Wal-Mart, and few people think Trump’s presidency is a crisis. So, was it that people in Philadelphia and other blue enclaves had such a huge reaction?
One thing that everyone I talk to feel is that this iteration of President Trump seems to be completely unrestrained. This time, no Republicans like John McCain gave Trump a thumbs up, and no cabinet members urged restraint. This is released by Trump.
It has nothing to do with the results, because within two months, Trump’s policy has not yet joined. It’s about the action itself.
The fired federal workers, tariffs on our allies, Putin’s friendly approach, the deportation of illegal immigrants, and even like a more mundane character renamed some kind of water in the “American Bay”, felt a personal attack on many Democrats. There is nothing they can stop it.
At least in the short term, there seems to be nothing to put out all the hair on the left.
But in the overwhelming and irrelevant reactions of Philadelphia Democrats to Trump, I did meet a Republican, a tourist who provided some warning signs to the Trump administration.

“I’m proud to be a Republican and vote for Trump,” he told me in late-night cigarettes outside the hotel, “but these tariffs make me nervous.” I pressed him and he said, “I’m a salesman. If everything we sell from Mexico goes up at a price, we don’t know what to do.”
“Okay,” I asked, “how long do you think it will take for the manufacturing industry to move to the United States?”
“Two years, three years,” he said. “But I haven’t traded in two or three years, I’m going to trade in two or three months.”

One thing everyone agrees is that Trump is moving quickly. For some, this can lead to horror. For others, it’s exciting. But if Democrats think Trump voters regret, even those who are a little nervous, they will misunderstand.
After all, Donald Trump is doing exactly what he promised.
