Davey Johnson, baseball manager who won World Series with 1986 Mets, dead at 82

Davey Johnson, Manager of the Year, Manager of the Year in 1986 New York Metropolis He participated in the World Championship and died at 82.

Before becoming manager, Johnson was a four-time All-Star player, three consecutive Golden Glove Awards from 1969 to 1971. Baltimore Orioles.

Johnson is one of 15 managers, completing 300 games with a score of more than .500, winning 85 or more games in addition to one season. He won 10th place in the manager with at least 1,000 wins.

He was an early advocate of analysis, contending with Earl Weaver, Earl of the Hall of Fame.
