An early stage venture capital firm, Chat Capital, invested in startups in areas such as manufacturing, transportation and defense, has ended its third fund with a $300 million capital commitment.
The Washington, D.C.-based company previously raised $225 million in a second fund and raised $75 million in capital pool for late-stage companies in 2022.

The company was founded in 2020 by former NEA partners Dayna Grayson and Rachel Holt, who was formerly an executive at Uber. Construct has invested in startups such as Hadrian, which uses software to make parts for the defense and aerospace industries, and cara company specializing in last-mile e-commerce delivery from distribution centers to customers.
