Columbia University yields to Trump admin demands over revoked $400M in federal funding

Columbia University has worked on the Trump administration’s demands to restore $400 million in federal funding, which is on how schools address anti-Semitism on campus.

The Wall Street Journal reported that the Ivy League agreed to ban masks, giving 36 campus police new powers to arrest students and appoint a senior vice provost, with extensive powers to oversee the Ministry of Middle East, South Asian and African Studies and the Center for Palestinian Studies.

Colombia became the center of anti-Israel protests after its attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Students, outsiders and faculty expressed opposition to Israel during the demonstration. Meanwhile, Jewish students expressed concern about anti-Semitism on campus in New York City and the interference of protesters.

Earlier this month, the Trump administration revoked the Trump administration because it failed to resolve anti-Semitism on campus, collecting $400 million in grants and contracts from schools.

Fox News Digital has contacted the university.
