Colorado The Democratic House majority pushed a series of controversial gender and abortion bills on Sunday, cutting floor debates in what Republican lawmakers call “unprecedented” strategies.

“No procrastination, no procrastination – just a firm effort to close discussions on legislation that directly affects parental rights, public safety and use Taxpayer dollars,“She said.
The bills passed include SB25-183, requiring taxpayers to fund abortion services; HB25-1309, compulsory insurance companies covering transgender procedures, regardless of age; HB25-1312, imposing state-mandated gender policies on schools while parents are not sure of their children’s gender identity and considering “mandatory control” in child custody cases; and SB25-129, prohibiting investigations and cooperation with out-of-state related transgender procedures and abortion services.
The four bills were debated on the floor last week for more than 12 hours, according to state legislative majority Democratic leader Monica Duran.
“At that time, a few people offered dozens of amendments,” Duran told Fox News numbers. “Ultimately, Colorado people elected important Democratic majority with clear tasks, and in the course only 120 days, we will need to do people’s work every day.”

“It’s time to fight back against out-of-state interference, and the Trump administration threatens to limit abortion and health care for LGBTQ+ Coloradans,” he said. Rep. Karen McCormick, a Democratic Rep.SB25-129 sponsor D-Longmont said in a statement.

Rep. Lorena Garcia, a Democratic member of SB5-183, also said: “While the Trump administration’s efforts to remove abortion visits or completely limit funding, Coloradoans believe it is your constitutional right to get the reproductive health care you need.”
“The bill will expand access to life-saving reproductive health care, Including abortion,Garcia said in a statement.
The bill is now heading to the democratic state Senate for consideration.
