McCaffrey is considered to be questionable 49 people‘The injury was reported Friday due to calf problems. He was listed as a limited participant in practice on Thursday, and after not practicing on Friday, fans wondered if this was déjàvu after last year’s injury collapse.
McCaffrey, who entered Week 1 last season, was classified as suspicious, insisted that he was good and ready to play against the New York Jets. However, he landed on the reserve of the injury as his calves became bilateral Achilles tendinitis. Last season, McCaffrey ended up playing only four games.
So, as 49 fans saw the Mavericks’ illness again in the injury report, there were some skeptics who headed to Sunday.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan did not elaborate on McCaffrey’s injury during the media supply, only confirming he was not on Friday. McCaffrey, on the other hand, gave some context to what he was working on.

“I shouldn’t get involved in anything that happened, but I think it’s wise to not finish the practice,” McCaffrey said. “I’ve been there before, and in situations like this, I’ve been my own biggest enemy and I’m proud of myself not doing it anymore. Like I said, I went through the whole camp. I felt really good about my position.”
McCaffrey had no harm problems during training camp as Shanahan and others praised his performance in practice. As San Francisco wants to be cautious, he has not played in any preseason games.
But the season started on Sunday, and the 49ers’ playoff hopes are related to the No. 23 performance, just like he played two seasons ago, when Super Bowl.

“At the end of the day, if you can, you can play the game,” he said. “That’s simple.”
