The 49ers acquired McCaffrey from the Carolina Panthers in 2022 and won the NFC title and Super Bowl in their first two seasons with them. But San Francisco missed the playoffs for the first time last season since 2020 due to injuries to McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk and others.
