Chipolo’s newest AirTag competitor works with both Apple and Google’s finding networks | TechCrunch

chipoloOn Monday, the manufacturer of Airtag-like devices launched the latest version of the product. Now, the new Chipolo Pop device, in contrast to its model that offers only collaboration with Apple or Google’s Lost-Metem Finding technology, is used out of the box with both companies’ Discovery Network.

By combining these different features into a device, Chipolo believes that consumers can more easily choose the right device for their needs. Additionally, this can make Chipolo products better for giveaways, as buyers don’t need to know whether the recipient is using Android or iPhone.

The device’s Bluetooth range has also been extended to 300 FEETT (90m), the battery lasts for 1 year and can be replaced by users.

Now the new device is available in blue, black, green, red, white and yellow and is sold on Chipolo’s website and on Amazon for $29 (£30/€35).
