Suspicious assassin Charlie Kirk Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said Sunday that he was a “very ordinary young man” who later developed a “leftist ideology” after he seemed to have become increasingly radical in recent years.
Cox reveals new details about the 22-year-old suspect Taylor Robinson In NBC’s Meet the Media, although investigators are not ready to discuss potential motives as they continue to piece together information about the so-called assassin.
Cox said Robinson’s family and friends described his politics as appearing to move left after quitting Utah State University.
“After that, it seems like this happened – after he moved back to southern Utah,” he said. “Obviously, there are a lot of games in progress, and friends have confirmed there is a deep dark internet, a red culture and other dark places on the internet where this guy is deep.”

Robinson accused Shoot and kill Kirk As the 31-year-old husband and father of two held a turning point American event at the University of Utah on Wednesday.
“The reasons behind this, we have all come to a lot of conclusions about how radical, and I think these are important questions for us and important questions we want to answer,” he said.

Although Cox did not cover specific details about Robinson’s ideology, the governor did point out references on the ammunition used to kill Kirk, and the record showed a bullet shell with a message: “Hey, fascism! Catch it up!”
“You see this in the casing,” Cox said, noting “the imitation that is happening in our society today.”
More information about the suspects, when allegations against Robinson are filed, potential motives may be released, Cox said.

Cox said the partner was “very cooperative with the authorities.”
According to Cox, Robinson has not worked with authorities since his arrest.
“He didn’t admit it to the authorities. He didn’t cooperate, but everyone around him was working together. I think that’s important.”

Authorities said Sunday that Robinson is Holding under the “Special Watch” Wait for completion of a mental health assessment.

Authorities have been keeping “closely watching” Robinson before he cleared his mental health assessment. Utah County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
