Viewpoint:
It was 2017, I’m White House then. We know that as conservatives, we have a youth problem. We have long relied on the baby boomers to win elections – they are reliable, Republican-leaning, and frankly, they ruled other generations in terms of vote counts.
Yes, we know millennials outnumber the baby boomers. But they didn’t find that for decades they’ve instilled left through our education system. The traditional view is to let them grow up, get married, have families, pay taxes, and then they can be convinced.
Enter Charlie Kirk.
As the X’er generation, I know we need at least some publicity for the younger generation. But as someone who bought her first phone at the age of 23, I couldn’t connect with those who grew up with them. More importantly, I don’t know how to talk to them and half believe we don’t need it. It was a millennial event (I was disappointed at the time – “What is the purpose of this event?
