David Brinson, 54, was found guilty of killing four men in 1993 and sentenced to life imprisonment without parole, court records show.

Brinson claims to release her to prison officials, but the Amador County coroner said this week that her death was a homicide and was sure she was strangled. KCRA-TV reported that no one was charged.

“How did they make this happen? I just don’t understand,” Dewells’ son Armand Torres told KCRA-TV. “I’m sure my mom was just alone and she called for help and there was nothing she could do.
“Given the history of this guy, we kind of wonder if there is a possibility that they will be under supervision?”

The prison’s operating manual says inmates on home visits must be introduced four times within 24 hours and may be subject to unplanned inspections at any time, but “every effort should be made to ensure the privacy of the prisoners and their visitors.”
