WNBA phenomenon Caitlin Clark Claiming she was fined $200 by the league in Saturday’s Instagram comments, she hasn’t even played the game for months.
In X post, Clark reappears screenshots of her comment that celebrates Indiana Hot Playoff series victory In Atlanta’s dream, states that “the referee can’t stop us” from the fan account.
“Laughing for this, I’m fined $200,” Clark wrote in her X post. “The bench mob will become even louder tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

Clark’s teammate Sophie Cunningham then reshared Clark’s post, joked that someone should raise money for Clark to help pay the fine.
“It really will break the bank for her. Start a GoFundMe now!” Cunningham wrote.
Clark’s 2025 salary is $78,066, but her recognition dwarfs the number.
Clark and Cunningham suffered end-of-season injuries earlier this year, both being eliminated in Indiana’s playoffs.
Still, both players have been at the center of attention during the playoffs, especially when it comes to referees.
On Tuesday night, during the first quarter of the Fever game against Atlanta Dream, Clark and Cunningham made exemplary gestures to officials protesting that dream players should call for travel.
The footage of their joint gestures is all the rage on social media.
Later in the game, when officials did call for a trip to Atlanta, they saw Clark mimicking the gesture again.
Since joining the league in 2024, Clark’s relationship with WNBA officials has been a controversial topic.
Multiple close to Clark, including Cunningham, fever coach Stephanie White, and even Clark’s brothers have published suspicious treatments of referees for the WNBA phenomenon.
Back in June, Cunningham opened the fight for defending Clark’s defense, and Cunningham summoned officials to reporters.

“It’s just part of the game during this time. I think the referees have something to do with it. It’s been a few years now, and they just haven’t protected the star players in the WNBA,” Cunningham said. “At the end of the day, I’m going to protect my teammates. That’s what I’m going to do.”
Clark’s brother Colin Clark suggested that WNBA officials should blame the sharpshooter injuries she suffered in July.
He wrote on X before deleting the post: “No doubt it’s a mess.”
White summoned officials in May after Clark’s controversial words to say about New York’s freedom.
“I thought she was fouled. I think what happened to us in the last few games,” White said of Clark. “The disrespect for our team right now is incredible. So, it’s disappointing that this is not a two-way approach, or it doesn’t go both ways.”
Meanwhile, as early as September 2024, a rookie Clark made a technical foul from a suspension in a game.
“And it’s stink because I feel like half of the technology this year, I accidentally touched a guy in Minnesota game and then two hit the rim’s stand.” “One was a total accident, and then the other two were just a little frustrated with themselves.

Now, Clark is bold in boasting that he was fined for summoning referees on social media because her team is in a WNBA playoff roster without her.
