Last week, Minnesota’s Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards said he didn’t want to be the face of the league. Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James sympathized with this.
“Why do you want to be the face of the league when all the people who cover our games and talk about our games every day?” James asked reporters Thursday.
“Responsibility – It’s weird. I don’t know it’s people’s weird energy.”
James Say he understands Edwards brought his source of speech.
“(Anthony Edwards) said he didn’t want it. I mean, it’s obvious that I didn’t ask for it; but I know I’m responsible for me – not only for my family, friends, my community, and anyone who followed my journey in my career, not only in Ohio where I started, but not only when I started – but, when I was traveling all over the world, all over the United States and the world,” he said.
