Emma Heming Willis shares more information about life since Bruce Willis Move into your own home.
In a recent interview peopleThe wife of the “hard” star explained that the decision to find Bruce’s own home was the toughest, but because his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD) was essential, “needing a calm and peaceful atmosphere.”
“We have two young kids and it’s important that they have a home that supports their needs and Bruce can have a place that supports his needs,” she said. “Kids can have play dates and overnight [again] And don’t have to walk around. ”
Emma first shared her decision to move Bruce into her home in August on the ABC special Emma & Bruce Willis: A Unexpected Journey, one of the “hardest decisions” she has to make since she was diagnosed in February 2023.

After the interview was aired, she was bounced on social media. Force Emma to respond On Instagram. She posted a video that explained: “Even if someone is familiar with dementia, they don’t know the internal work of any particular situation and “they don’t know your people’s behavior or your family dynamics.” ”
The 47-year-old writer expressed the same view to people and explained that “dementia has different attitudes in everyone’s home” and that it is important to do “thing that suits your family dynamics.”
“We have two young kids and it’s important that they have a home that supports their needs and Bruce can have a place that supports his needs.”
“It broke my heart,” she said. “But that’s how we can support our entire family, [and] It opened up the world of Blues. ”
Emma said that while he may live in another home, his relationship with his two daughters is still strong.

Bruce’s new home in the all-weather care of professional care workers is only a short distance from the family home, and they often go. Emma Tell Diane Sawyer before She visits him every morning and every night and calls him their “second home.”

His ex-wife, recent actress Demi Moore Praise Emma’s promise Taking care of Bruce during her appearance on the Oprah Podcast, said she “had a lot of sympathy for her.”
“There is no roadmap on how to deal with it,” she said. “So many Emmas really figured it all out. And, the most beautiful thing, she talks about in the book about realizing the importance of having to take care of themselves and having to take care of themselves. If they don’t take the time to make sure they’re okay, then they can’t show up for anyone else.”
