A family Boeing whistleblower who committed suicide Last year, an illegal death lawsuit was filed Wednesday, accusing the aircraft giant of fostering a toxic culture and retaliating against employees.

The lawsuit accuses Boeing of fostering “a deep culture of hidden flaws and safety practices, as well as harassment, demeanor and retaliation for employees who attempt to comply with the law, the rules and regulations of the FAA, and the procedures and procedures that Boeing claims to have.”
“When John tried to do his job, Boeing managers put pressure on him to not record defects and not properly record the aircraft’s construction records to avoid delays in production,” the lawsuit states. “When John persisted, management began a consistent harassment, abuse and intimidation campaign aimed at discouraging, smearing and humiliating him until he gave up or was smeared.”

Fox News Digital has been approached by Boeing for comment.
The complaint filed in the U.S. District Court in South Carolina said Barnett was passionate about his work and believed he had a moral obligation to ensure the safety of the flight public, but ultimately, “consistent harassment and abuse” became “too much.” He was diagnosed with PTSD, depression, panic attacks and anxiety.

For example, in late October 2016, Barnett’s senior manager called him 19 times in total in eight hours. A few days later, the same manager allegedly called Barnet 21 times in eight hours, apparently telling Barnet: “I’m going to push you until you break.”

He wrote in an email that dated February 2021, and he said he was “trying to figure out what it takes to make “self feel “the whole” again).
“I used to be a very happy lucky guy to go [sic] Love his work, his company and the products they build. I have a very positive view of life. Boeing absolutely ruined my view of life,” Barnett wrote.

Just before his death, Barnett wrote down a suicide note.
“America, get together or die!” he wrote. “I pray to mother-the person who destroys my life salary! I pray to Boeing to pay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Lying down – the leader can kiss my A-.”

Barnett was found dead after failing to appear on the third day of his testimony in Charleston last March.

Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun, who has nothing to do with Barnett’s lawsuit, announced in March that he would resign at the end of 2024, and the company continues to fight.
