The interesting part about desktop computers is that you can get it for all its favorite accessories, and there are plenty of great options out there. Here are some suggestions you can find in our Best MacBook Accessories guide.
SATECHI MAC MINI M4 HUB, priced at $130: The latest Mac mini (8/10, recommended online) is a great compact countertop PC. However, Apple made a suspicious decision by moving the power button from the back of the device to the bottom, which means you have to pick it up every time you want to turn it on or off. Satechi’s hub solves this problem – a dedicated opening on the back allows you to easily access the button without lifting it. It also comes with additional ports. You will get three USB-A ports (up to 10 Gbps) and a built-in SD card reader. The upgraded SSD also provides support for up to 4 TB of NVME storage.
Apple Studio display price is $1,499: Studio Display (9/10, cable recommendation) is expensive, but the 27-inch screen is a fantastic companion to the Mac Mini or Mac Studio. It features an amazing 5K resolution display, a 12-megapixel camera, and built-in microphone and speakers. For an additional cost, you can also upgrade to this model with nanotextured glass.
Asus 24-inch Full HD Monitor for $104: If you’re looking for a cheaper monitor, the monitor from Asus has a sharp 1080 pixel resolution (the color may look a bit oversaturated, but you can adjust it with the display settings). It also comes with an adjustable bracket that supports VESA mounting standards if you want to use an arm mount.

Satechi M1 mouse priced at $30: This is my favorite mouse – I’ve been with MacBook Pro (2024). The ergonomic design is comfortable for my palms, the buttons are super responsive, and the rolling wheels are smooth. It also has a type-c port on the front, so you can still use it while charging.
Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID for $179: It’s hard to beat Apple’s accessories. The Magic Keyboard (with USB-C) has the same functional line keys as you find on the M-Series MacBook, including the play button, dedicated do Do Do Dise Do Dise Dowess nows nows keys, and task control keys. It also comes with a touch ID, so you don’t have to log in every password.
Apple Magic Trackpad 2 costs $130: If you are already used to using the trackpad on your laptop, you can recreate it on your desktop using Magic Trackpad 2. It has the same force touch and multi-touch gestures, so it feels like a MacBook. It will also be automatically paired with your computer. The battery lasts about a month and you can charge it via a USB-C to USB-C cable.
Grovemade Wool Felt Desk Pad, priced at $70: Your workspace doesn’t require a table mat, but adds a decorative touch. Grovemade is a good choice. It’s both stylish and easy to clean (I wipe the coffee spill easily). It also has interesting colors such as light green, blue and dark orange.
