“Now we have the President of the United States…” Sanders continued booing, and Sanders continued.
“I’m old,” Sanders said of opposing President Donald Trump.
“He thinks climate change is a scam. He’s dangerously wrong,” Sanders said. “You and I are going to have to stand on the fossil fuel industry and tell them to stop destroying the planet.”
“In this country, not in California, not in Vermont, but in Florida, where Maxwell is from, many other states, politicians are trying to take away women’s right to control their bodies,” Sanders continued. “We need you to stand up and fight for women’s rights. Today, we have a very good economy for billionaires class, but not for working families. We need you to help us create an economy that works for everyone, not just 1%. We have a broken health care system. We are the only major country and don’t need to guarantee your health care company.”
Sanders said he was there to support Claro as artists used her “to fight for women’s rights, trying to end the horrific and brutal war in Gaza, where thousands of women and children are being killed.”
